The verdict
The E2-LT is not simply an E2 with random weight removed. Adams combines the E2’s 0.80 mm body and focused architecture with a lighter 0.60 mm bell at the E1’s 305 mm diameter, then uses a mix of lighter and heavyweight caps to preserve stability where it matters. The result is meant to retain the E2’s full sound while releasing some of its physical and playing weight.
This is the middle path for someone who finds the E2 too anchored but does not want the E1’s most open response. The fixed body-and-bell gauge relationship is central to the model, so customization is about materials, finish, trigger, and fittings—not turning it into a different E2.
