The verdict
The E2 is the deliberately anchored Adams. A 310 mm soldered-rim bell, heavier material, substantial caps and struts, and a reinforced compensating block all serve the same goal: a compact-feeling response with a large, stable core. It is built for players who use resistance as something to lean against.
That character makes the E2 distinctive, not automatically preferable. The E1 is the more open and color-flexible choice; the E2-LT keeps much of the E2 body while adding agility. The best reason to buy the E2 is that its weight and focus match the player’s air and sound concept—not simply that it sits near the top of the range.
