How do I blend with a band without disappearing
Blend by matching the sound, pitch, articulation, length, and phrase of the voices around you—not by removing the core from your own sound. First identify the euphonium's role, then choose who to listen to.
What does a principal euphonium do
The principal euphonium leads the section's sound, pitch, style, and entrances while taking its exposed solos. The job is less about playing louder than everyone else and more about making the section easy to follow.
